Tuition

When registering for fall/spring lessons, a non-refundable fee of $50 will be due. This fee will hold your spot and covers all the books/materials your child will need for the year. You will not have to go shopping for any books. ;)
Please also review the Required Materials so that you will be prepared with what you need before your first lesson.
Each week your child attends a private lesson and workshop.*
If you begin part-way through a semester, tuition will be pro-rated.

*Junior High/High School students may opt to have a 45-min private lesson with NO workshop if there are not enough similar age/level students to form a workshop with. Contact Sarah for more info.

Buddy Piano Lessons

This is a shared lesson format for very young, beginning students (3-5 year olds) and is conditioned on two students sharing a 45-60 minute lesson/workshop period each week. Students may or may not be related and each is responsible for their portion of the tuition. This structure is uniquely suited to young minds and attention spans. Parent attendance is required for this option. Contact Sarah for details if this option appeals to you.

Missed Lessons Policy

If the student misses or cancels a lesson or workshop, payment is still due as outlined.

Your payment goes toward my prep time as well as reserving a timeslot specifically for your child whether or not she/he is there.
If you need to miss a lesson for any reason, you have the option of a 'modified lesson' using the Vivid Practice app. If you would like to take advantage of this option, please follow the steps below:

A day or two before your child’s scheduled lesson time, take some short videos of where your child is at with each or any of his/her assignments. Put the videos into an album and email me the link to the album. The student may send me messages through the Vivid Practice app with questions and/or recordings as well.
At my discretion, most likely during the child’s normal lesson time, I will watch the videos and update assignments in the Vivid Practice app.
Follow up with your child to make sure he/she checks the app for the new assignments.

If the teacher misses or cancels a lesson, a makeup will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time, (or you will be offered a credit if a time cannot be scheduled.)
