Tuition reserves a weekly lesson time for each student and covers lesson instruction, preparation, planning, and other studio-related activities throughout the year.
Tuition statements are sent near the end of each month and payment is due on the 1st of the following month.
Tuition is reviewed annually and may be adjusted each fall to reflect changes in operating costs and inflation.
Families with more than one student enrolled receive a 10% sibling discount.
Tuition may be paid by semester for a 5% discount. Semester payments are due August 1 and January 1.
Because meaningful musical progress takes time, enrollment is intended to be a commitment for the academic year (August through May). If it becomes necessary to withdraw from lessons, the end of a semester is the preferred time to do so. Please provide as much notice as possible.

It is normal and expected that students will occasionally have scheduling conflicts and need to miss a lesson. In the event of a student absence, tuition remains due as scheduled.
Tuition reserves a lesson time specifically for you/your student and covers lesson planning, preparation, research, and other teaching-related work that continues regardless of attendance.
If you know in advance that a lesson will be missed, you may have the option of an alternative lesson through the Vivid Practice app. This allows students to continue making progress even when they cannot attend their regular lesson. Please contact Miss Sarah for details if you are interested in this option.
Occasionally, I may need to miss a lesson as well. If a lesson is canceled by the teacher, a makeup lesson will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. If a makeup lesson cannot be arranged, a tuition credit will be provided.
Meaningful musical progress happens through a combination of lessons, practice, and encouragement at home. While weekly lessons provide guidance and instruction, the greatest growth takes place between lessons.
Recognized progress is one of the greatest motivators to continue practicing. As students begin to hear and see their improvement, they often gain confidence, excitement, and a greater desire to continue learning.
For younger students especially, parents play a vital role in helping establish successful practice habits. Children rarely choose practice over games, friends, or other activities without guidance and support. Consistent routines, clear expectations, encouragement, and parental involvement make a tremendous difference in a student's success.
As students grow older, they should gradually take increasing ownership of their practice habits and musical goals. Even so, parental interest and support continue to be valuable throughout the learning process.
Miss Sarah is committed to teaching, encouraging, and supporting every student. While practice levels may vary from week to week, students and families who consistently prioritize practice will experience the greatest musical growth and enjoyment.
If you would like ideas for encouraging practice at home, creating effective routines, or helping your student stay motivated, please don't hesitate to ask. Miss Sarah is always happy to work with families to find approaches that fit their unique needs and personalities.
